ABOUT


Designer Bjørn van den Berg (b. 1988) works closely with various manufacturers of domestic objects and exhibited his work across the world. In the process when designing everyday objects, he wishes to make people aware of the presence. By getting in touch with emotions such as reminiscence, sensibility and tactility, Bjørn intends to extend the objects’ lifespan. The value and sustainability of his design approach are enhanced by the incorporation of high-quality materials, meticulous attention to detail, subtle references and a precise formal concepts. Bjørn van den Berg holds a Masters in Product Design from Oslo Metropolitan University. 


Since graduating Bjørn have done projects for various clients within product and furniture design, as well as exhibition design. Together with designer Falke Svatun, he was project managing the first Unika Auction in 2017. Bjørn have done the exhibition design of the official Norwegian Presence exhibition at Salone Del Mobile in Milan two times, in collaboration with Sverre Uhgner and Silje Nesdal in 2018 and in collaboration with Kråkvik & D’Orazio in 2023.
