SHEET CABINET
Sheet Cabinet for Frama explores the relationship between hiding and exposing stored objects by changing the angle of the front sheets. The positioning of the hinges allows the doors to rotate 90 degrees from front edges to side edges, always remaining open from one or two sides. With subtle changes to a familiar form, the Sheet Cabinet introduces a sense of curiosity and brings novelty to wall-mounted storage.
In stainless steel, the Sheet Cabinet works with geometry, proportion, and a simple yet novel composition to create a storage space that resists easy classification—without compromising legible function. The material's finish reflects its surroundings depending on the time of day and positioning of the doors, creating awareness of the moment.
The cabinet was first exhibited at the Norwegian exhibition "Everything is Connected" in Milan in 2017. The project was produced in a limited edition in aluminum in 2018 for A part, and launches for Frama in 2026 in stainless steel.
